DVD CASE DESIGN TERM 1

(DVD CASE term 1, Lizzie Cutler, 2011)
Going with the theme of my DVD I used a street concept.  Using Photoshop I tried to make the writing look like Grafitti.

DVD Menu Design for Folio term 1

Shoot Image for Screen Production Folio

(DVD MENU, Lizzie Cutler, 2011)

This is my DVD menu that I created using Photoshop and then edited on Encore.  I used the graffiti look, which I got inspired by the art in the fourth film on this DVD.  I used the music 'Smells Like Teen Music - Nirvana' as the menu music and it is on continuous loop.

(Graffitti in the big Smoke, Lizzie Cutler, 2011)

This is some footage I took in Melbourne on my Phone.  It was not actually for this subject but when I watched it back I really liked it so I thought I would ad it in.  I really like how you can see the reflection of the hustle and bustle of melbourne's city and the mixture of "relatively" new arcitecture with old arcitecture and the differences between them.  I love street art so it really speaks from what I like, I chose to use the Graffiti theme through the rest of my dvd including the cover and the menu, inspired by the art in this video.  I chose to use "Year book - from Garage Band" because when I think of this type of art I think of youth and I dunno they just seemed to represent each other to me.

Lights over 24 hrs...

Use of different filming techniques
(Focusing on lighting)

(Lights over 24 hrs, Lizzie Cutler, 2011)

This video I tried to explore the use of lighting in different scenarios.  There is really no story to it, but I tried to make it depict a day in my life.  I tried to break up the scenes with the use of my car.  I chose 'Monday - Living End' because it kind of went with a 24 hr day in a normal week (except possibly the night club part).  The music is not of my making and I do not mean to steal it.  This is only for educational purposes.

(sorry about the smallness of this clip it was Full HD and proper 15:9 PAL format but Youtube kept rejecting it and taking to much of my upload limit so I resorted to making it smaller in I-movie)

Let the world walk by...

Use of different filming techniques

(Let the world walk by..., Lizzie Cutler, 2011)

This next video was my way of looking at people.  I find it interesting how we can all be in the same world yet so detached from one another.  In this video I filmed people in area around Warrnambool.  It uses a lot of feet shots, and close ups.  Unfortunately I haven't mastered the ability to keep my camera still so I appolagise for the jumpiness.  The music in this video is Tripod - Let's take a walk (from there album Middelborough rd) and Dr Hook - Walk right in.  I do not own or mean to plagourise these songs it's purely for educational purposes.

A day at the Beach...

Use of different filming techniques

(A day at the Beach, Lizzie Cutler, 2011)

This is my first ever film.  It is of a day I spent at Warrnambool's main beach.  This is for my Shoot Material for Screen Production in my Certificate IV Interactive Media.  The point of it is to show my knowledge of different camera techniques.  I mostly used zoom, panning and straight on shots.  The Sound is from partnersinryhme.com and freesound.com.  A special thanks to Missy Lindsey for her company and help.
